Qualifications

Graduate degree from a UGC Recognized University.
Preferable Qualifications:
Working experience in Government offices, reputed Government Institutions of Higher Education, or Research Institutions.
Proficiency in English and Assamese languages (Speaking, Reading, and Writing).
Capability for multitasking.
Working knowledge of computers.

Important Instructions

1. All applications will be screened for a written test, and qualifying candidates will be shortlisted. Although a large number of applicants may satisfy the minimum criteria, only a limited number will be invited for the written and/or skill test. Please note: meeting the minimum criteria does NOT automatically entitle a candidate to be called for the skill test.
2. The candidate's age will be calculated as of 01.07.2025, in accordance with Govt. O.M. No. ABP.6/2016/51 dated 2nd September 2020. Only the Admit Card or Pass Certificate of HSLC/HS or an equivalent examination issued by a recognized education board will be accepted as valid proof of the Date of Birth.
3. The reservation policy of the Government of Assam shall apply to all categories. Interested candidates with benchmark disabilities may apply, and their applications will be considered as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016. Candidates belonging to SC / ST (P) / ST (H) / OBC / MOBC / PwD categories must submit the prescribed certificates in the format authorized by the Government of Assam.
4. There shall be no upper age limit for regular employees of Cotton University applying for these posts. Existing contractual or temporary workers of Cotton University who possess the required qualifications will be granted weightage based on their length of service. A maximum of 10 marks will be awarded, calculated at 2 marks for each completed year of service, for those who have completed five or more years of service at the University.

A printed copy of the online submitted form, along with all relevant documents, must be submitted offline to the Registrar, Cotton University, Administrative Building, Panbazar, Guwahati-781001, Assam, India.
